Hello, I am a behavioral scientist broadly interested in environmental decision-making and behavior. I am currently Core Faculty in Environmental Studies at Antioch University New England. I received my PhD in Human Dimensions and Environmental Policy in the Department of Environmental Conservation. My research explores how social motivations and interactions can buttress or inhibit positive engagement in environmentally-relevant behaviors. I’m particularly interested in how people, through their intentional interpersonal interactions with others, can create and maintain social norms in support of societal and ecological progress. To explore these and related issues, I apply insights from the intersecting fields of psychology, communications, conservation, and decision-making. I use a mix of quantitative and qualitative approaches.
